Registration for the new of workshops of Jalal Tehrani is on going. The intensive one-semester playwriting workshop will start next week. This workshop focuses on writing a long play by students.During this workshop, each student will write a long dramatic text. According to the new parts of each student's text, necessary training is provided for them.
The exercises of the eleven groups of students to participate in the maktabetehran festival is on going. The finale of this festival will be held in maktebetehran hall with the participation of the students of the directing, acting and drama writing courses, in October. The selected works of the festival have the possibility for public performance in the school hall.
In the past week, on July 23, the third session of the series of training sessions of the festival theater groups was held. In these sessions, the groups present the new parts of their exercises to Mr. Jalal Tehrani. . He offers suggestions and necessary training tips to directors and actors. These meetings are, in fact, practical workshop sessions for directing students of the festival.
The deadline for sending plays to participate in the play reading section of the festival ended last week. But at the request of the interested parties, it was extended for seven days. All current and previous students of Maktab’s workshops can participate in this section by sending their written plays. The plays are judged by selected students of drama writing workshops in recent years. The selected plays will appear on the stage of the Maktab’s hall at the end of this year's festival in the form of a play reading section.
On Saturday, July 30th, the sixth screening of the series of Jalal Tehrani recorded theaters will be held at Maktab Tehran: "The Tank" recorded theater, which was performed in 2012 at Molavi Theater in Tehran. The Tank theater, directed by Jalal Tehrani, which is his newest theater, has reached the final stages of rehearsals and will be performed in the hall of MaktebeTehran.
